Alice Louise Meyers (nee Heins), age 90, of Meridian passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 of pneumonia.
She was born on March 9, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Lawrence and Louise Heins. She was the oldest of three girls, Jeanette and Ethel, now both deceased. Alice grew up on west side of Cleveland.
Following high school, she attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and then returned to Cleveland where she did clerical work.
In 1967, the family moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where Alice served her family for many years as a wife and homemaker, where she was known for her baking, especially her pies. She was also an accomplished seamstress, sewing many of her family’s clothes and teaching 4H classes in sewing. Alice enjoyed reading and was skilled at other handcrafts.
In 2003, after she and Howard retired, they moved to Meridian, Idaho, to be near family.
