Alice Faye Farr, 79, of Newton died on Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Comfort House in Pella.
Alice, the daughter of Charles and Luella (Sanders) Binegar, was born on July 3, 1942 in Newton. She was a lifelong resident of Newton. Alice was united in marriage with Earl Farr on August 29, 1959 in Newton. In addition to being a homemaker, Alice worked as a cook at many area restaurants. Alice loved sitting and enjoying the outdoors and watching birds. She also loved to garden and do word searches. Alice was a huge fan of Elvis Presley.
Alice is survived by her four children, Rhonda Lynn (David) Goodsell of Lincoln, Nebraska, Donald Edward Farr (Suzy King) of Newton, Lori Pauline Wages of Newton, and Joey Allen (Shanelle) Farr of Newton; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Patty (Harry) Farr of Newton and Gerald “JB” (Linda) Binegar of Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Farr; siblings, Eleanor Madoll, Donald “Butch” Binegar, Pauline Plowman, Leonard Binegar, and Hazel Sutton.
