On All Saints Day, November 1st, 2021, Alice L. (McCorkhill) Fassnacht, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away at the age of 99, a few weeks before her 100th birthday; a beautiful day to join the saints.

Alice was born November 18, 1921, in Lafayette to the late William and Mary (Moynihan) McCorkhill. She was a lifelong member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lafayette she attended grade school there and was a regular daily mass participant.

A 1940 graduate of St. Francis High School, she met many of her lifetime friends in school. Donohue for 47 years, wearing many hats.  She retired in 1987 at 66 years young.

Alice lived much of her life in her home at 232 Chestnut Street, however for the past 4 years she lived at St. Anthony’s where she received loving care and many visitors that she always greeted with a smile. Alice was an avid sports fan, following Purdue sports and the Boston Celtics.  She was known for her quick wit and compassionate spirit.  She always told each of her grandchildren privately that they were her favorite one.

Alice is survived by her son, Dennis “Fuzz” (Ann) Fassnacht; her favorite 4 grandchildren, Mary Ann (James) Tremel, Denise (Robert) Smith, John (Brooke) Fassnacht, and Michael (Brenda) Fassnacht, and 9 great-grandchildren.  Along with her parents, William and Mary, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.
