Alice E. Kamminga, age 93, of DeMotte, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Oak Grove Christian Village.
She was born February 8, 1925 in DeMotte, Indiana. On August 12, 1943, in DeMotte, Alice married Arthur Kamminga. He preceded her in death in 1967. Alice attended DeMotte Schools. She was a meat packer at Tysen’s Grocery for 25 years. Alice was a member of First Christian Reformed Church of DeMotte. She enjoyed flowers & gardening and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Alice is survived by her children: Sharon (Andy) Nannenga of DeMotte, IN; Don (Diane) Kamminga of DeMotte, IN; Barbara Meppelink of Wheatfield, IN; Diane (Jerry) Veld of Lake Village, IN; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Art; grandsons: Darren Nannenga, Ryan Meppelink, and granddaughter, Kim (Meppelink) Hoffman; and son-in-law Larry Meppelink.
