Alice D. Strickland Blowers, 70, Anderson, died unexpectedly October 15, 2005 at Community Hospital, Anderson.
She was born May 2, 1935 in North Vernon, Indiana, and was a lifelong Anderson resident. She retired from Riverview Hospital in Noblesville in 2004 after 13 years in dietary.
She enjoyed being outside working in her flower beds, loved her three dogs and just being a homemaker for her family.
She is survived by her husband whom she married October 19, 1960, Norman Blowers; three children, Mary and husband Tim Phillips, Robert Blowers and Gregory and wife Francie Blowers all of Anderson; a brother, Paul and wife Jeanne Strickland; four sisters, Charlotte and husband Mike Trapp, Wanda and husband Hollis Bliar, Judy Ray and Susan and husband Ron Miller; two grandchildren, Amy Hendrick and Amanda and husband Jared Morrison; two great grandchildren, Britain and Daylan; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Emily and husband Harvey Haskell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mildred Gaines Strickland and twin great grandchildren.
