Alfreida A. Thomas (nee Snyder), passed away Monday December 13, 2021 at her residence in Delanco at the age of 103. She was born in Unity Twp., PA to the late Otto and Emma Snyder and was a longtime Delanco resident. She had worked for BF Goodrich and later for the Willingboro Twp., schools, from where she retired. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Burlington Twp.
She will be remembered as a determined woman, someone who was direct and to the point and had a huge heart and a love of children. Always keeping busy, she enjoyed home remodeling, furniture refinishing, crocheting, sewing, gardening, doing yard work and having her big yard sales. She also loved Christmas shopping, cooking, baking and hosting family and friends for Sunday dinner. Somehow, as busy as she was, she always made time to attend her grandchildren’s school events and graduations.
In what little free time she had, she enjoyed watching good television shows and movies; favorites were the Golden Girls and The Sound of Music, as well as watching her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to her parents, Alfreida was predeceased by her husband Phillip W. Thomas, her grandson Shaun Thomas and her siblings Charles and Frank Snyder and Gloria Koluder. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law; Ron and Sandra Thomas and Darrell and Mary Thomas, grandchildren; Darrell (Dani) Thomas, Jr., Brian (Anne) Thomas, Sheri (Tony) Ghaul, Barry (April) Thomas, great grandchildren; Killian Thomas, Dylan Thomas, Lauren Petz, Nino DeOliveira, Sophia Thomas, Shaun Thomas, Jr., Charlotte Thomas and Aspyn Thomas.
She is also survived by her siblings Martha Snyder and Doris Smith, as well as her devoted physician, Dr. Albert Dow.
