Alfred Storlazzi, 86, of  Davenport Residence, 125 Putnam Ave., Hamden passed away July 27, 2011 at his home. Born in New HavenJan. 19, 1925, he was the son of the late Cesare and Anna Meglio Storlazzi. He was a talented furniture refinisher which he practiced for many years until his retirement. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the Asiatic Pacific War Theater. He was wounded at Luzon on May 9, 1945 and was awarded The Purple Heart. He is survived by one sister, Ann Storlazzi of Hamden and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Thomas E., Carl, Vincent (James) “Jimmy”, Gaetano (Guy) and Caesar Storlazzi Jr.
