Alfred and Rose(Toni)Irene Reed were married April 10,1964 and raised 4 children, Clifford Lynn Sandrea, Shelley Dean Lucio, Alfred Dean Jr and Jeannie Lynn. Alfred is survived by his wife Toni and their 4 children and their spouses, 2 sisters, Elda Graham and Beth McClelland. Alfred is survived by 22 grand children, 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alfred was preceded in death by his father, mother step father Homer Kennedy, 4 sisters
Betty Miles, Melba Nelson, Jean Eades, Patsy Wareham, Elsie Kennedy and brother
Douglas Kennedy. Alfred attended Gateway and Grand Junction High schools, graduating in 1962. Alfred was loved for his fun and boisterous attitude. He was called “Uncle Punk” Alfred excelled in many activities, His work included ranching, mining,truck driving, equipment operator and laying gas pipeline. Al spent many years volunteering his time to the Gateway community and served as president of the Gateway Community Club for many years. Al was a 4H leader and helped with many community activities. Al and Toni lived in Cortez for 15 years before moving back to Gateway.
