Salem Alfred “Lee” Swiger, 60, of Marshville Community died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born May 27, 1949 in Wilsonburg, WV, a son of the late Alfred Burton Swiger and Gladys Gertrude America Swiger of Chiefton. In 1967 he married Cheryl Colline Herrod who survives along with their three children Teena Marie Farnsworth and her husband Brian of Grafton, WV; Terry Lynn Swiger and partner Robert Luchuck of Stonewood, and Leanna Mae Liberati and her husband Tommy II of North View in Clarksburg. Lee and Cheryl have been blessed with six grandchildren whom Lee loved being with; Ashlee Jordan, Andrew Damian, Hailey Marie, and Chelsie Nichole Liberati and Jesse Aaron and Brianna Nicole Farnsworth as well as a great grandson Camren Marshall Lee Tetrick. Also surviving are two sisters, Linda Ann Swiger Hatfield of Geneva, OH, and Teresa Michelle Swiger of Parkersburg and brothers, Charles Otto Swiger of Chiefton and Lonnie Eugene Swiger of Jupiter, Fla. and several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Wayne Swiger and Terry Lynn Swiger. Mr. Swiger attended Marshville Baptist Church, was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed stock car racing and loved his pets Chrissy, Sadie and Rocky.
