Alfred was a native of York County, S.C., a veteran of the U.S. Army and formerly employed in textiles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Ruth Helms Hudspeth, brothers, Roger Hudspeth, Timmy Hudspeth.
Survivors: daughter, Tonya Schultes and husband, Artie, of Crystal River, FL., son, Kelly Hudspeth and wife, Jennifer, of Asheboro, sister, Linda Baxter and husband, Kenny, of Bennett, grandchildren, Kimbri Gregory, of Sneads, FL, Isabella Schultes, of Crystal River, FL., great-grandchild, Hannah Bradley, niece, Darlene Baxter, nephews, Shane Baxter, Bobby Baxter, and his dog, Tinker.
