He is survived by son, Steven Garcia; daughter, Lori Garcia; granddaughters, Audrina, Shala, Kendra, Tiana, and Caitlyn; great-grandson, Matthew and David Gomez; brothers Fred and Bobby; daughter-in-law, Kristen Garcia; sisters-in-law, Christine Garcia and Helen Jaramillo; special niece, Diane Hinton; special cousins, Jenny Baker and Beva Ortega; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Al was a devout Catholic and member of The Shrine of St. Bernadette. Al spent his younger years growing up in humble surroundings near Valencia, NM. He graduated from Santa Fe High School, in the class of 1958. After High School, Al attended the Weaver Airline Personnel School, where he would pave the way for a long career working for the airlines. Upon finishing Airline School, Al entered the U. S. Military and served four years in the Air Force. After serving in the military, Al worked many years for Frontier Airlines and US Airways as a Supervisor for Ticket Agents. He was proud of his many accomplishments. Al enjoyed the outdoors with family and friends. He loved music, Country, Spanish, and Oldies from the 50’s and 60’s. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos, New Mexico Lobos, and the Golden State Warriors. Al loved animals and had many pets throughout the years. With all that said, what brought Al the most joy, was the love he had for his granddaughters. Al passed peacefully at home.

The family would also like to recognize all who took part in Al’s care while in the hospital and hospice care.
Nephew Johnny and wife Jean: Thank you for the support at the time of Al’s passing.

Al will be deeply missed by all. Farewell, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Cousin and Friend.
