Alfred Fryar 62 of 204 Lovington Drive passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Home Going service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel with Rev. Willie Bowden officiating, burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery.

Alfred served in the military for several years, He was a supervisor at Lundy’s Packing Company (Smithfield) for several years. He moved to Greensboro, North Carolina working for Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola Plants and later moved to Winston Salem, North Carolina working as a construction worker until he was medically retired.

Alfred joined Holly Grove Disciple of Christ Church at an early age. He later joined Olive Institutional Baptist Church, both in Clinton, North Carolina.

Alfred leaves to cherish his memory:  Wife: Pandora Jacobs of Greensboro, NC, Daughters: Tirannatta Fryar of Durham, NC, Sheila Fryar and Kayshanda (Tony) Rush both of Greensboro, NC, Sons: Fred Fryar and Darrell Fryar both of Greensboro, NC,  nine grandchildren, Brother: Henry W. (Kaye) Fryar, Sr., Sisters: Annie F. (Monroe) Burke of Fayetteville, NC and Cornelius “Cookie” (Willie) Peterson Caldwell of Durham, NC, Aunts: Lillie Stevens of Faison, NC, Margaret Fryar of Warsaw, NC., A special big sister, nieces, nephews, great nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
