Alfred Cappellirei, age 92, of Milford and formerly of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Lord Chamberlain in Stratford. He was born on July 29, 1929 in Stamford to the late Nettie Traves. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. His legacy is the family he leaves behind: his loving and devoted daughters Kathleen-Anne (Renaldo) Monaco, Eileen Noordyk, Maureen (Rob) McCabe, Doreen (Tom) Quell, Maryanne (Jerald) Kushner. His ten grandchildren Brent and his fiancée Erica, Renaldo and his wife Kathleen, Alfred and his wife Katy, Kimberlee, Kelliann, Eric, Diane and her husband Dan, Lisa, James & Erica and 4 great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Hailey, Zachary & Adrianna. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Violet Dunn and his mother Nettie Traves and loving son in-law Neil Noordyk. He loved family parties, trips to the Pocono’s and family Wildwood Trips.
He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Stamford. He was a member of the local carpenter’s union.
The family would like to thank his home aide Katona for the wonderful care she provided while dad was home, the many nurses and aides that cared of him while at Lord Chamberlain, and the wonderful caring staff from VITAS Hospice, especially Fran, Nicole and Richard.
