Alfred “Al” A.. LaVacca, 79, of Toms River, Berkeley Township., NJ died on Monday, June 3, 2019. Al was born and lived most of his life in Bloomfield, NJ. He has lived in Toms River for past 3 years. Al owned the Gold & Silver Exchange in Newark, NJ for many years.

He coached little league baseball and soccer in Bloomfield, NJ. Al loved fishing, playing pool and cards and the NY Yankees. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Al is predeceased by his parents Angelo and Anna (Smith) LaVacca; sisters in law Joan Rush, Mary Bender and Sondra Eagen; brothers in law Peter Rush, Anthony Toglia and George Plank.

Surviving is his loving wife Linda (Eagen) LaVacca; his children Kenneth LaVacca of Bloomfield, Dennis LaVacca of Toms River and Pamela Turner and her husband Michael and their children, Harrison, Dylan and Victoria of Springfield. Also, his sister Ann Largent and her husband Phillip of Clayton, NC; brother/sisters in law John Eagen, Noreen Toglia, Patricia Plank, Edward & Shirley Eagen, Karen & Walt Lashuk and Richard & Linda Eagen. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
