The world lost one of the most sweet, gentle, beautiful women to grace this Earth. Alexandrina Ferderber-Hersonski, affectionately known by her family and friends as Lili, passed away on April 25th, 2016. She was surrounded by her husband, Boris, and her sons Boris, Jr. and Alexander. Daughter of Pascal and Elena Ionescu, and sister of Dorina Oancea, Lili moved to the United States with her boys to join her husband for a new life in America in 1982.

Lili was the most loving, affectionate, devoted wife and mother. Her friends all knew about her sweet, gentle disposition, and her unending empathy towards those who are less fortunate and in need. After coming to the United States, she worked for nearly thirty years as a psychiatric nurse, a difficult job requiring the need to show empathy and compassion to those in great need of support and understanding. Lili eventually become Assistant Director of Nursing for St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville and later in Boonton, New Jersey. Lili could speak to anyone with the highest level of respect, with a lack of judgmentalism, and with unending love and compassion.

She always saw the beauty in life and in all people. She loved gardening, arts and crafts, and exploring the beauty of the world and of its people. Lili was a beautiful woman inside and out, retaining that beauty and youthful curiosity even until the end of her life. She was a wife, a mother, a friend, and a true angel sent from Heaven to bring kindness and the light of Goodness into this world. She will be forever missed and will forever be in our hearts. We love you Lili, you are the light of Joy and Goodness, always and forever.
