Alex Breyer, 66, died peacefully Dec. 1, 2013, at his home in Newnan, GA after a year-long battle with lung cancer. Growing up in a proud military family, Al served his country in Vietnam. After retiring from Delta Airlines with 32 years of service, he spent his retirement quietly doing his favorite things with his favorite people. He spent his days riding his motorcycle on Georgia’s beautiful back roads and photographing his adventures. His daughter remembers their best times together on the road. They would travel to ride horses in Wyoming, Arizona, North Carolina etc., an extension of his love of the wild west, Native American and military history. Al was an old soul in a modern world, living simply and deeply connected to the natural world. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Stewart Breyer and mother Helen Hoffecker Breyer. He is survived by his daughter Alia Benavidez, brother Jack Breyer and his wife Debra, sister Joann Breyer and his niece Donna Jo Breyer.
