Alex Santiago Stone. was born July 12, 1951 in Lubbuck, Texas to Mary Helena Anaya and Alex Sanchez Stone. Alex passed in the early morning hours on Saturday, December 12, 2020 in the home of his daughter, Heather Mears, in Boise, Idaho surrounded by family and loved ones.
Alex was a man of simple means. He didn’t have a lot but would tell you he was the richest man alive. He had immeasurable love for his family and his grandchildren were the light of his life even in his last days he made every attempt possible to them his love for them. Alex started a spiritual journey deeply rooted in his Native American heritage many years ago.
Alex had various talents and hobbies from singing, traveling, wood carvings, leather work, drum making, attending sweat lodges and ceremonies. When creating his arts he would channel his prayers into the piece for the receiver. He was a giving man and while he had always dreamed of selling his art it was often given as a gift to the person that needed it most.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Stone (Crowe), his children, Alex Stone Jr., Raymond Stone, Heather Mears, Amanda (Jesse) Pannell, Michael Stone and Alex J. (Kayla) Stone, his 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Alex was preceded in death by his father, mother, and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
