Alex Austin Keck, 18, of O’Fallon, IL, born June 8, 1989, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, March 17, 2008. Alex was a recent graduate of O’Fallon Township High School and an Eagle Scout. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a graduate of the Latter Day Saints Seminary Program, and a youth council member in the young men’s program at the church.
Alex is preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, James E. Keck, a maternal grandfather and grandmother, Cecil and Helen (nee Turner) Shelton, and an uncle, James Allen Shelton. He is survived by his father Wayne E. Keck of Fairview Heights, IL, mother Laureen, nee Shelton, Hughes and Colonel Kevin P. Hughes, retired USMC of O’Fallon, IL, a sister Amanda, nee Raisner, (Matt) Halverstadt of Arlington, VA, a brother Jameson Keck of O’Fallon, IL, and a nephew “Baby” Jack Halverstadt of Arlington, VA.
