Aletha Maree Feight passed away at the Legacy Lodge in Chariton, Iowa on August 16, 2016 at the age of 94. Aletha was born to Harley and Goldie (Agan) Shore. She lived and grew up around the Gosport area, where she met Walter the love of her life. Aletha first taught at Gosport, later teaching in Melcher, Williamson, Chariton, Franklin and Van Allen Schools. She had taught all the grades but settled on second grade thinking she could do her best there. She put in 48 years of teaching before retiring.
Walter Doyle and Aletha were married on December 3, 1945. Living and raising a family in Chariton the whole time they were married. Raising two daughters, Cheryl and Barbara. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma sorority group. Also Aletha enjoyed cooking for her family and many others when the need would arise.
Aletha was preceded-in death by her parents, Husband Walter her brother Raymond (Lavede) Shore of California, Sister Luella (Worth) Bebout, sister Eithel Gookin, Brother in law Harley Keeney.
