Aldona Dulbis Michlein, 93, of Southbury, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at the River Glen Health Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl Michlein. They were married in 1949. Aldona was born in Bridgeport, CT, September 15, 1917, daughter of the late Joseph L. and Eva Kukler Dulbis. She graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport. During World War II, in 1942, she worked at the Manning, Maxwell and Moore industrial plant to fill the void in manufacturing as men went off to war. She volunteered with the USO by passing out coffee and food to the soldiers leaving for the war at the Bridgeport Railroad Station.
