Alda Gianoni, 86, widow of Achille “Archie” Gianoni of Forestville, passed away on Friday April 17, 2009 at the Hospital of Central CT, Southington.
Alda was born on December 16, 1922 in Middletown, CT a daughter of the late Tullio and Maria (Farino) Bighinatti. She was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed bingo, knitting, reading and going for walks. She would also travel frequently with her husband to their homes in Massachusetts and Florida.
Mrs. Gianoni is survived by her children and their spouses, Gail and Glenn Miller of Bristol, John and Donna Gianoni of Forestville, Thomas and Linda Gianoni of Southington, Irene Balboni of Bristol, Joyce and Paul Halladay of New Hartford, Peter and Kimberly Gianoni of Kensington and Michael and Katheryn of Jersey City, NJ; her two brothers, Victor and Willie Bighinatti; her sister and brother-in-law Norma and Edward Hartney and her thirteen grandchildren, Meredith, Todd, Gregory, Julie, Tracey, Scott, Ryan, Nicholas, Rebecca, Matthew, Mitchell, Joseph and Christian; her great-grandchild Neko; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother John Bighinatti and her sister Erma Testori.
