Alberta was born October 20, 1924 in Lafountain, KS. She spent her early years in Independence, KS, graduating from Independence High School and Pittsburgh State Teacher’s College. Alberta taught second grade in Caney, KS where she met and married Roy B. Edmundson on December 5, 1947. In 1955 the family moved to Denver for Roy’s work.
