ATLANTA, Ga.-Alberta Kenreigh Herron, 87, passed away in Atlanta, Ga., on March 19, 2012. Alberta was born Jan. 6, 1925, the daughter of Albert V. and Helen Kenreigh of Greenford, Ohio. She was a graduate of Greenford High School where she was a member of the band, chorus, and cheerleading squad.
After high school, she was employed by the Deming Company, McCullough Department Store, and later as the bookkeeper for the Salem Plumbing and Heating Co. She was the Carole Choir Director for the First Presbyterian Church of Salem where she was a member since 1938. She was also proud to be a vocal soloist for the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, Rolin W. Herron, who she married Sept. 14, 1943; her son and daughter-in-law Richard and Loraine Herron of Atlanta, Ga.; her daughter-in-law Marilyn Herron of Salem, Ohio; her grandchildren, Jason Herron of San Palo, Brazil, Emily Herron Hicks of Chesapeake, Va., Natalie Herron of Columbus, Ohio, Sarah Herring Hicks of Atlanta, Ga., and Gibb Herron of Augusta, Ga. She has four great- granddaughters and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her son, Rolin W. Herron Jr.
