Alberta Emma Turbeville Nickle, 92, of Hillsdale, died at 12:40 am October 11 at Vermillion Convalescent Center. She was born July 29, 1923 in Clinton to Everett Turbeville and Martha Knight Turbeville.
She was a homemaker. She was a Vermillion County 4-H Adult Leader for 30 years and she enjoyed her chickens and her grandkids. She married Ray Roy Bob Nickle on December 31, 1941. They were married for 52 years. He preceded her in death March 21, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Althea, Anna, and Thelma, Turbeville and Theresa Jarvis; two brothers, Max and Dallas Turbeville; two daughters, Joy and Judy Nickle; and one granddaughter Jerri Ray Nickle.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandy and Les Carmichael of Bloomington, IN.
