Alberta E. Downes, 93, formerly of Crestview Acres in Jeannette died on Friday 12/20/2013 at Longwood in Oakmont. She was born in Scottdale on 6/22/1920 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Lulu Hough Forsythe. Alberta was a retired administrative secretary for Westmoreland Hospital Mental Health Department. She was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeannette. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George R. Downes, a daughter Marian Zinzow and a sister Ardis Keener and a brother Donald Forsythe. She is survived by her children, Dennis G. Downes, Nancy Krivinko, David K. Downes, Daniel K. Downes and Ardis Schreiner along with her sister in law Thelma Forsythe and nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
