Alberta Elizabeth “Betty” Gottschall, 99, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Country Meadows of Bethlehem.
Born in Bethlehem, Betty was the daughter of the late Edwin and Magdaline (Vogt) Gottschall. A graduate of Bethlehem High School, she worked for PP&L for over 45 years, serving as the secretary to the Lehigh Division Vice President for many years.
She enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels for over 25 years, and was a member of Edgeboro Moravian Church, the PP&L Retirees Club, and the Meridian Club at the Bethlehem YWCA. Betty enjoyed working in her gardens, and playing cards with several card clubs over the years.
Survivors: nieces Melanie Gaal and her husband Gregory of Bethlehem, Carol Gernert and her husband Claude of North Carolina; nephew John Gottschall of Maywood, NJ. Betty was predeceased by her siblings Elmer, Paul, Marion, Louise and William.
