87, of Paradise Valley transitioned peacefully at 4 pm Saturday, September 19, 2015 while holding the hand of his wife, confidant, partner & best friend of 67 years, Louise Ziegler. (Eph. 5:31) “and the two became as one flesh” (Al-Louise). (Mk 10:19) “what God joined together, no man put asunder”. Surrounded by family as Al gave up his spirit to be with the Lord he is survived by his wife Opal Louise Ziegler, his daughters Madelon Renee Allen and Sherry Lynn Ponzi, son and daughter-in-law Bryan Allen Ziegler and Vicki Lynn Ziegler, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Al fought the good fight knowing “to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Php. 1:21). Al was born 2/20/28 in Memphis, Tennessee to Albert Ernest Ziegler, Sr. and Madelon Maude Jackson Ziegler. He grew up in the Motorcity area of Detroit/Plymouth, Michigan during its “hayday” driving his passion for vintage and classic autos. The Ziegler’s moved to Phoenix in 1948 where he met the one true love of his life, Louise, and married 11/13/49 in Salome, Arizona. Al & Louise started Al Ziegler Construction Inc. with Al as president.
