Albert Walker Jr. was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Sarah Francis (Parker) Walker and Albert Walker Sr. on February 18, 1951. He was born the first of three sons.
Albie, as he was affectionately called, obtained his elementary education in Jersey City. He graduated from Henry Snyder High School in Jersey City and went on to attend New Jersey City University. He enjoyed careers in information technology (as he would say, “back when computers were the size of this entire room”) and finance, especially his time working on Wall Street in New York City. He also enjoyed an auxiliary careers as a New York City night club promoter and a radio personality.
As quoted in his 1969 High School Yearbook “Albie likes cars, girls and money”. Growing up, Albie became quite a sports fan, and he enjoyed watching mostly baseball and basketball games. He actually played basketball on his high school team. However, he and anyone who knows him understands that music was his true love. He was a music aficionado who was well versed in diverse genres, and if he had your attention, he was going to give you a lesson. Yet, if alone, he would blast the music and have a DJ Albie Walker party all by himself.
He was also a car enthusiast and could often be found on any given Saturday afternoon making sure his latest and greatest stayed shinning like new (of course while blasting music). Moreover, he had a passion for ministry. Since the early 1980’s, Albert had been a student of metaphysics where he studied under the likes of Reverend Ike at the United Church and Science of Living Institute in New York City; Eric Butterworth at Unity Church at Rockefeller Center in New York City, and many others. He was always open and willing to share what he knew. He often prayed “health, happiness, love, success, prosperity and money” for everyone.
Albert Walker Jr. transitioned peaceful in bed watching a basketball game, on Sunday January 30, 2022 in Newnan, Georgia. He is survived by his loving wife, Madame Tinisha O’chelle Walker; his children, Kai Walker, Monique Green-Walker, Prince Albert Walker, Kennedy Al’Leah Walker, Jordan Al’Lexandra Walker and Princeton Albert Walker; his stepchildren, Charli, Ryan and Faith Williams, his brothers, Charles Walker and Michael Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
