Albert Boyce Jackman “Skipp”

After months of declining health, Albert Boyce Jackman known to all as “Skipp” sadly passed away at his home in Boca Raton, on May 25th, 2022.  Born August 31, 1945, in Washington D.C., he was predeceased by his mother, Harriet Alice Jackman, (McMillan), and his father, Andrew William Jackman.

His family moved to Daytona Beach, Florida where he attended Osceola Elementary School and later, they moved to south Florida where he graduated from Pompano Senior High School.  He was a resident of Boca Raton over 50 years. He attended Palm Beach Jr. College but left when he discovered his interest in the world of design.

Skipp had a long and successful career as a talented architectural designer.  He loved nothing more than to create and design, drawing in the early years by hand then as technology developed, on the computer.  He enthusiastically embraced every new drafting technology over the years and enjoyed every project he took on.  It was his life’s passion and he never slowed down, continuing to work right up until the end of his life.

A happy and fun-loving person, Skipp loved life, people and was the eternal optimist, always up for an adventure.  He never met a stranger and could make anyone laugh. His parties were legendary and when he was along, everyone would always have a good time. He was a good friend to all and had many lifelong friends.

Skipp will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, Elizabeth Dobbs Fletcher “Betsy”; his two sons, James Boyce Jackman, and Alex Arthur Jackman; and his brother, Andrew William Jackman “Bill”.  Skipp’s smile, jokes, stories, and always present sense of humor will be missed by many.
