Albert Richard Lee, III, 63 of Jackson passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Albert was born to the late Albert Richard Lee, Jr and Rose Silano Lee in Newark, NJ on October 23, 1955. He is described by his family as a loving husband, devoted father, and friend to many. Albert graduated from Jackson Memorial High School where he played football and was a 72/73 regional champion wrestler. He was a well-respected member of the Jackson community, a member of the Jackson Alumni Hall of Fame, and the Jackson Memorial Athletic Hall of Fame. Albert’s greatest joy was helping other people.
He frequently donated his time to community causes such as the Jackson Historic Cultural Commission and raising funds for Light up the Jags. He was honored by the Jackson Kiwanis for his charitable work with the Jackson PBA and generosity in assisting the homeless in Tent City. Albert was a skilled carpenter who not only built his own house but many homes and buildings in and around Jackson Township and the Central NJ area. He was a dedicated husband and father who enjoyed staying home with his family and tinkering in his garage with his son.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Albert was predeceased by his parents. Albert is survived by wife, Sharifa Lee; son, Luke Lee of Jackson; daughter, Melody Lee of Jackson; sisters, Deborah Hermenau and her husband William of Cartersville, Georgia; Jean Lee and her wife Jane Anderson of Brick; Robin Harrington and her husband Mark of Jackson, and Beverly Krasner and her husband Michael of Toms River.
