Albert Mermini, Sr. age 90, of Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Twp. died on January 3rd, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Newark, NJ, Albert lived in Union before moving to Silver Ridge Park in 1986. Albert served in the United States Army during WWII., attaining the rank of Private First Class.
He then went on to work as an auto mechanic for Good Humor in Fairfield, NJ. Albert is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mae (Buttros) Mermini, his four sons, Michael and his wife Patricia of Toms River, Albert, Jr. of Union, NJ, Steven and his wife Lauren of Wayne, NJ and Mark and his wife Theresa of Toms River, NJ. Albert is also survived by his seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, his two brothers, Reno of Toms River, NJ and Louis of Wantage, NJ, his two sisters, Millie Flores of El Paso, TX and Carmella Verona of Newburg,NY.
