Albert M. Piccolo, 96, of Lancaster, South Carolina, formerly of New Haven, passed away Nov. 10, 2016 in Lancaster. He was the husband of the late Lillian Terrace Piccolo. Mr. Piccolo was born in New Haven on July 26, 1920, son of the late Umberto and Lucia Esposito Piccolo. He was in the fruit and produce business for most of his life until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He is survived by one son, Anthony (Donna) Piccolo of Trumbull; three daughters, Alberta (Lloyd) Sargeant of Huntington Beach, CA., Maria (Ed) Stern of Marblehead, MA. and Michele Piccolo Binder of Heath Springs, S.C.; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Claudia Ann Piccolo Glassman; his granddaughter, Melissa Piccolo; his son in law, Frank Binder; five brothers, Louis, Salvatore, Joseph, Dr. James and Dr. Pasquale A. Piccolo; and four sisters, Virginia Piccolo, Mary Minnella, Jessie O’Neill and Jane Shaffer.
