Albert Lee Elliott, Sr. was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on January 14, 1945, to the late Preston Elliott, Sr. and Lillie Mae Bell Elliott. He passed into eternal rest on August 18, 2022 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Parkway Campus.
Mr. Elliott was a faithful member of the Unity Fellowship M.B. Church. He retired from Vulcan Materials in Trinity, Alabama after many years of service.
He was married to the late Minnie Pearl Sales Elliott and to this union five children were born: three sons, Albert Jr, Robert and Tony Elliott of Decatur, and two daughters, Delorice Franklin and Tracey Appleton.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; five sisters, Earnestine Johnson, JoAnn Elliott, Katherine Elliott, Flora Moody and Mary Elliott; one brother, Frank Elliott.
Albert leaves to cherish his precious memory, two daughters, Delorice Franklin (the Rev. Patrick) of Decatur and Tracey Appleton (Craig) of Moulton, AL; three sons Albert Jr. (Wanda), Robert (Anita) , and Tony Elliott of Decatur; one stepson, Steve Sales of Decatur; three sisters, Vivian McDonald, Maggie Elliott both of Louisville, KY and Rickey Sue Elliott of Decatur; three brothers, Preston Elliott, Jr., Larry Elliott and Oscar Elliott all of Decatur; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Cowan, Novella Sales and Ophelia Cooper all of Decatur; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
