Albert Julius Kiesel passed away on February 21, 2009 at the age of 94. He was living in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas at the time of his death. Mr. Kiesel was born on 1 March 1914 in Stamford, Connecticut. He proudly served in the served U.S. Navy on a Landing Craft Infantry (LCI) during World War II and was deployed throughout the Pacific. “Al” as he wanted to be called, was predeceased in death by his wife of fifty years, Helen Donch Kiesel. He moved to Texas from Stamford in October, 2004, where he lived with his daughter Ranae and her husband BG (Ret) Richard Ursone. He is also survived by his daughter Donna Kiesel Finch and her husband, Michael of Williamsport, PA. He had seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
