Albert James Lightfield, 80, of Boise, Idaho, passed away on November 20, 2022.

I was born September 30, 1942 along with my twin Alfred Jr. in Vancouver, Washington, where our dad was working building ships for the war. We moved to Caldwell, Idaho, South Dakota, and around 1951 to Boise. I attended schools here through one year of college at Boise Junior College in 1964. My brother and I went to San Diego, California to see our older brother and younger brother in the Navy. I joined the California National Guard and started a career in banking. I married my wife Sharon and had daughter Kendra in 1969 and son Ken in 1971. I left banking in 1968 and started a concrete company. In 1972 I moved back to Boise and continued in concrete work until my brother Alfred and I started a corporation building new homes. I built homes until the late 1980s, and then I started commercial work finding my career as a project superintendent. I worked around the western states, primarily at military bases, building high security rooms. I retired in 2011. I have been blessed with three grandsons and one granddaughter, also my grandson has given me two great grandsons. I’ve had a good life, hunting and fishing in Idaho, catching Marlin in Mexico, Sturgeon on the Snake River, racing circle track in several states and drag racing in my Corvette. I want to give a special thank you to my sister Colleen for being my care giver these past four years and thanks to my nurses at Cancer Care Center at St. Alphonsus. I was diagnosed with A.M.L. (Leukemia) in October 2018 and have fought it with chemo, but unfortunately it is a terminal disease. I have had a great life. I lost my twin brother Alfred Jr. in February 2022. I am preceded in death by my parents Regina and Alfred Lightfield Sr., and my twin brother Alfred (Alfie). I am survived by my two brothers Robert (Betty), Ralph (Linda), and sisters Martha (Zon) Lloyd, Bertha White, and Colleen Kateley.
