Norwich – Albert Leo Beauregard, 74, of New London Turnpike died peacefully Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in Norwich on May 1, 1940 son of the late Albert Joseph and Evelyn (Carigan) Beauregard. Albert worked most of his life as an Analyst in Radiography at General Dynamics; Electric Boat Div. Mr. Beauregard had been an active communicant of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Norwich, a longtime member of the Maennerchor Club and the Electric Boat Management Association. Jack followed Waterford Speebowl since it’s opening – recently as Crew Chief for his grandson’s #25 Legend. He was also a worldwide Traveler with his wife Carol.
On October 15, 1960 he was united in marriage to Carol Kohanski at the Original St. Joseph Church in Norwich. They were one of the last marriages in the old church. Carol survives her beloved husband of 53 years.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his daughter and her husband Debra and Wally Churchill of Lisbon, daughter Karen Workman of Norwich and a son and his wife, Albert L. Beauregard, Jr. and Angela Deschenes of Raleigh, NC, two sisters, Dolores Gonsowski and Elaine and her husband, Richard Wood and a brother and his partner, Dennis Beauregard and David Thomas, four grandchildren, Ashley Workman, Melissa Workman Phipps and her husband Larry Phipps, Jordan Churchill and Taylor Churchill and two great grandchildren, Matthew Workman and Evan Phipps.
