Albert Gualtieri
1923-2016
Norwich – Albert Gualtieri, 92 of Norwich, died suddenly at home on Sunday October 16, 2016. He was the loving husband of Lucy (Pelligrini) Gualtieri for 66 years. He was the son of the late Pietro and Gina (Orlandini) Gualtieri, born in Bush, ILL and later settling in a small town called Panama. He became known as “Panama” to his high school friends.
Albert worked as the Comptroller for Beit Bros. Super Markets for 46 years. He had also worked as a District Manager for Lynne Poultry. He was a WW II Army Veteran serving in Europe and Japan. He was a member of the Norwich Lions Club, the Norwich VFW, the American Legion, the Elks Club, The Italian American Veterans Club, the United Italian Society and served on the Italian Heritage & Cultural Committee of Norwich. He was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy Class of 1941 and Bentley College Class of 1949.
