Bowyer, Albert Edward “Ed”, 80, of Boca Raton passed away on January 4th, 2011.
Born and raised in the Chicago area, he moved his family to Boca Raton in 1966. He spent the next 45 years in the construction industry in South Florida. In 1991, he received the “Craftsmanship Award” from the Broward Builders Exchange for construction of the fountain at the Broward County Convention Center. Ed was a faithful servant of the Lord, as a 46 year member of St.
He married his high school sweetheart and spent the next 60 years as a devoted husband to his beloved wife Shirley Jean. Ed is also survived by his children Sharon, Michael (Amy), Debra (William) and Sandra and his brother James E. Bowyer and many nieces and nephews. He was the adored Poppa to his seven grandchildren Lauren, Tara, Kristin, Trevor, Kaitlyn, Christopher and Ryan and four great-grandchildren Alexandra, Leah Rose, Trevor and Sarah. Also mourning his loss are his two best friends, his ‘sister’ Barbara and his ‘brother’ Roy and his special ‘grandson’, Dino.
For those who knew Ed, there is no better example of a life well lived with grace, humor, simplicity and love. He will be missed and loved by all those lives he touched.
