On December 23, 2007, SSgt Albert C. Batzel (Jack), U. S. Air Force retired of Navarre, Florida, went to serve with our Heavenly Father. He was born Sep. 24, 1924 in Aliquippa, Pa to Arthur and Edrie Batzel. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Philomena (Phyllis), son Joseph Batzel and wife Alice of Brigham City, Utah, and daughter Jacquilyn (Jackie) Shoemake and husband Michael of Navarre Florida. He is also survived by one brother, Arthur Batzel of Aliquippa, Pa., and two sisters, Dot Alger of Monaco, Pa and Donna Marie Suborski of Gibsonia, Pa. Jack’s legacy continues in his 4 grandchildren, Marco Batzel and Julie, Matthew and Jenny Batzel of Utah, Brenda and Nelson Rollins of North Carolina and Kim Shoemake and Corey Pierce of Florida. He is survived by eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by countless friends whom he has touched in so many different ways.
His kindness, love and generosity will be greatly missed by both loved ones and friends.
