Albert A. Hernandez, 60 of Rupert passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Luke Medical Center in Boise.
Albert was born December 1, 1956 in San Juan, TX to Andres and Geneva Hernandez. Shortly after he was born, the three of them moved to the Minidoka area where he grew up. He graduated from Minico High School in 1975 and then attended ISU. In 1980 he met Lori (McCuistion) Chapa and to this union three children were born. Though he spent over twenty years working for Amalgamated Sugar Company our fathers passion and love was mechanics. From early on in his life he was restoring muscle cars, drag racing, modifying engines, and painting. His passion for cars soon turned to Harleys. He had a love for the open road. He set his sights on initiating the start of the Idaho Chapter of the Bandido Motorcycle Club. He was always there for his brothers and his club. One of the hardest things for him was leaving due to medical conditions. Riding was his life and his passion and he rode no matter the conditions. God speed on your eternal highway dad. We will always love you.
Albert is survived by his children Letticia (Ben) Godfrey, Kira Hernandez, both of Burley and Albert (Shantae Potter) Hernandez of Boise, ID. His mother Geneva, sisters Rachel Marina Erma Hernandez of Rupert, ID., and brother Edward (Karen) Hernandez of Kuna, ID. and five grandchildren that he adored Aubrey, Natalie, Brayden, Sophia, and Nevaeh. Preceding him in death are his father Andres, infant twin brothers and a sister Belinda.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Lukes, Boise for the excellent care they gave our father in his final weeks.
