Alan W. Householder, 71, of Southington, OH, passed away Sunday evening, June 25th, 2023 at his home. He was born in Warren, OH on September 23rd, 1951 to the late William A. and Gladys G. (Steager) Householder. Alan later married his best friend and the love of his life, Emma Mast.
Alan was a devoted family man who loved his wife and children deeply. He enjoyed watching his children play sports and loved coaching from the sidelines. He was the perpetual vacation planner and outdoor enthusiast, always taking his family on beach vacations, camping, hiking, and seeing the countryside by bicycle.
Alan was known to strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He enjoyed reminiscing about his days in the field and loved hearing and telling a good joke. His friends knew him as ‘Al’ or ‘Big Al,’ but his grandchildren knew him as ‘Pappy,’ and he relished his time with all four of them.
