He was born March 4, 1955, in Belton, the son of Kenneth Rush Shropshire and Annie Maude (Cass) Shropshire. Alan was a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s in Business.
He worked as an Accountant in Houston. He is preceded in death by his parents; Kenneth and Annie Shropshire. Survivors include his brother, Jim Shropshire of Belton; a sister, Karen Durbin and husband Steve of Cleburne; and two nieces, Kristen Patterson and husband Scott of Denton; and Kelli Holt of Argyle.
