Alan R. Hunnell, 43, Anderson, died August 19, 2003 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born March 25, 1960 in Anderson, Indiana, and had returned to Anderson recently after living in Indianapolis for 10 years. He had previously been employed at Indianapolis Flooring. He was a graduate of Anderson High School. He was a member of Eastside Church of God. He was involved in Operation Love. He enjoyed studying the Bible and reading in general. He liked to watch and attend Indy Races including Nascar and Stock Cars. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Patz of Anderson; children, Jessica Hunnell, Alison Hunnell and Brad Colon; step-father, Hubert Patz of Alexandria; two sisters, Gloria & husband Paul Alison of Denver, Colorado and Linda D. Mendenhall of Anderson; a brother, Jeff Patz of Alexandria; step-brother, David Whitney of Indianapolis; several aunts and uncles; mother of his children, Andrea Lawson Hunnell; several nieces and nephews including, Sandy Stansberry and her daughter Alison, David Pardue and his son Damon, Stace Pardue, Maddison Patz and Jake Patz; special friends, Dale Dyer and Jack Pardue. He was preceded by his father, Ray Hunnell in 1991 and his step-mother, Wilma Hunnell.
