Alan Lebarron James, a native of the Choctaw Bluff community and a resident of Jackson, made his earthly transition June 22, 2022 while at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile. He was born on June 26, 1961 to Katie B. and Jeffery James Sr. in Choctaw Bluff. Early in life he was a member of the New Canaan Baptist Church of Choctaw Bluff. He was a graduate of Jackson High School.
Starting his career at Jackson Nursing Home, Alan later switched to construction where he learned many trades and worked for many years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Katie B. and Jeffery James Sr.; grandmother, Annie Mae Phelon; three brothers, Jeffery Jr., Dock and Roosevelt James; two sisters, Jessie James and Diane Goodwin; two nieces, LeQuita “Tweety Bird” Stein and Hattie “Cathy” James.
Alan leaves to forever cherish his memories his loving three children, Alan (Chelsea) James Jr., Allayshia James and Cheryl Law; five grandchildren, Aubrey James, Alan James III, Allanah James, Adonis James and Paisley James; three brothers, Cubby (Glenda), Max and Marion (Andrea) James; four sisters, Annie (Charles), Gladys (Raymond) and Jeanette James; two aunts, Nettie James and Louisiana Burrell; with a host of nieces and nephews, one devoted, Timothy James; with other cousins and friends.
