Alan Vincent Dunaway 54, of Reedsville died unexpectedly on Tuesday March 6, 2012. He was born March 16, 1957 in Morgantown the youngest son of Harland E. Dunaway and the late Lenora Gail (Brown) Dunaway. He was employed by WVU for over 30 years. He began working in Morgantown at the WVU Agronomy Farm and later transferred to the WVU Experimental Farm in Reedsville.
He was a member of the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Alan was an active member of the Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department since he was a teenager, serving in many different capacities over the years, currently as Captain. His greatest accomplishment was being named King Fireman of the Preston County Buckwheat Festival in 1994.
