Alan fought a courageous 3-year battle with cancer. His bravery during his illness was not only admirable, but commendable. Alan was employed by Conduent before retiring due to his health.
He enjoyed life to the fullest and appreciated his many blessings. Alan was very proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughters, Nohelani Salisbury, Urbandale, and Merica Robbins, Des Moines; Mihaina, his exwife, who remained a close friend; 8 grandchildren; and sisters Mary (Dennis) Peters, Ankeny, and Joyce Hite, Manson. Preceding him in death were his parents and an infant sister.
