Born November 16, 1944 in Washington, D.C. and a 1964 graduate of New Hampshire’s Tilton School, he was the son of the late Howard Taylor and Edith Taylor Hibbard. Alan was preceded in death by his brother, Steven G. Taylor. His absence will be felt by many and most particularly by his wife, Cindy Erskine of Salem, New Hampshire; his daughter, Jennifer Taylor of Charlottesville, Virginia; his son, Alan Taylor and wife and children, Kelly, Austin, and Grace of Goffstown, New Hampshire; and his brother, Victor (Vic) Taylor and wife Joan of Trevett, Maine.

Above all, Alan loved his family and being helpful. He was charming, good-natured, and well-liked by most everyone he met. A tinkerer and great with his hands, he was capable of building, improving, or fixing just about anything, which is probably why he ended up in construction. Starting with a house painting business in Darien, Connecticut, he ran home renovations businesses on Cape Cod, and concluded his career as a commercial construction superintendent in the Boston area.

Though well respected in the industry and proud of his work, he was even more proud of his family. Being a grandfather and seeing Austin and Grace grow into accomplished and caring young adults brought him tremendous joy. He loved his wife, his children and grandchildren, and his brothers unconditionally, taking pride in their accomplishments, be they big or small.
