He died at 7 a.m. Sunday, May 4, 2008, in his residence.
Born Nov. 28, 1933, in Petersburg, he was the son of Joe and Ruby W. Alford Hollon.
Mr. Hollon taught English at Logansport High School from 1963 until his retirement in 1990. He had also taught at Tipton Township High School in Onward from 1960 to 1963.
Aja graduated from Petersburg High School in 1952. He attended Oakland City College, graduating in 1960 with a bachelor’s degree.
Mr. Hollon belonged to Cass County Retired Teachers Association, National Education Association, Indiana State Teachers Association, Loyal Order of Moose and the Knights of Columbus.
Aja also held FCC certification for amateur radio (AA9JU).
Surviving are brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Patricia Hollon, Oviedo, Fla.; nieces and nephew, Madeline Loveless, Texas, Sherry Loveless, Loogootee, Lisa and Tim Terrell, Oveido, Fla.; and Kevin and Bridget Enyeart, Logansport.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Hollon Loveless.
