Aileen Murphy Saia, 83, of Melbourne, FL, passed away December, 23, 2020 peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Aileen was blessed to share her final moments by Facetiming with family, siblings and friends, all across the country.
Aileen was born in Norwood, MA and was the oldest of her siblings, Paul, Gene, Lorna, Pat and Christine. Aileen was very close to her brothers and sisters and was loved and adored by all her nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her parent’s Lorne and Anne Murphy.
Aileen was proud of her nursing career and met Paul at the Norwood Hospital with Paul as pharmacist. Aileen and Paul were married on June 1st, 1963. They shared 57 years of marriage and raised 3 children who loved her dearly.
Aileen and Paul lived in Walpole MA for 38 years and then moved to sunny Florida to get away from shoveling snow and the cold.
Aileen is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul Saia, their son Paul and his wife, Theresa, of Walpole, MA, granddaughters, Caitlin, Julianne & Caroline of MA, daughter, Cathy and Scott Spratte of FL, granddaughter, Stephanie Spratte and daughter Trish Brown and her husband Mark Brown of FL.
Aileen will always be remembered for her comforting hugs, contagious smile, wonderful sense of humor and her love of reading.
