Mrs. Agnes M. Burnett, 89, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, in Parker, CO. A native of Spalding, Nebraska, she was the daughter to the late John M. and Lena Wagner Diessner. Mrs. Burnett was a third-grade elementary teacher for Jefferson County Schools and after retirement she worked as a decorator for her husband’s construction business, Burnett, Inc. Agnes enjoyed volunteering for her daughter’s PTA and Girl Scout Cookie Drive. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her family will miss her loving heart and her famous fried chicken. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 63 years, Fred Thomas Burnett, Parker, CO; daughters, Dr. Lisa Philpott, and her husband, Dr. Alexander Philpott, Castle Rock, CO; and Loretta Burnett Mestas and her husband, Joseph J. Mestas, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Eliza Philpott, Cam Philpott, Savanah Arceneaux and her husband, Chase, Sierra Burnett and Justus Mestas; and a sister, Rita Custy. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to thank, Suncrest Hospice, for their love and care shown to Mrs. Burnett and the family during their time of need.
